Dragon Initiation · Asheville, NC · Sept 10–14, 2026

The In-Person Retreat

Where the training becomes embodied. Where the bonds become real. Where the Dragon comes alive.

After four weeks of online training, we gather in person to bring the Dragon work into the body, the group, and the living field.

From Online Training to Living Practice

The Online Training Builds the Fire.
The Retreat Becomes the Forge.

During the online training, Dragons learn, develop, and prepare the tools, practices, exercises, and relational foundations they will bring into the retreat.

By the time they arrive in person, they are not strangers. They have already begun cultivating trust, language, shared context, and relationship.

The retreat is not a random weekend workshop. It is the embodied culmination of a carefully prepared group container.

The Venue · Whiskey Rock

A Private Mountain Sanctuary for the Work

Fifty acres. Blue Ridge views. Room to gather. Room to disappear. Room for the Dragon to come alive.

Sunset over the Blue Ridge Mountains from Whiskey Rock

Tucked beside Pisgah National Forest — where the mountains hold the container.

Whiskey Rock is a rare private mountain estate just outside Asheville, held by 50 acres of open land, forest, ponds, pastures, barns, and sweeping Blue Ridge Mountain views. Tucked beside Pisgah National Forest, the land offers something essential for Dragon Initiation: enough spaciousness for the whole group to gather deeply, and enough quiet corners for each person to step away, breathe, integrate, and return.

The estate includes a fully renovated modern farmhouse, known as the Main Lodge, along with two custom cabins that create a true “all together” retreat atmosphere without sacrificing comfort. Mornings begin with mountain light, afternoons unfold through practice and play, and evenings gather around the warmth of shared meals, honest conversation, and the living pulse of the group field.

For this work, the venue is not just a backdrop. It becomes part of the container.

Why In-Person Matters

Something Happens When We Gather in the Same Room

The in-person retreat is where the work becomes visceral. Where tools move from concept into contact, from conversation into embodiment, from individual growth into shared transformation. This is where deep bonds form, community becomes tangible, and new possibilities emerge through the intelligence of the group field.

The nervous system learns differently in person.

Trust deepens when we share space, meals, movement, laughter, tears, silence, and play.

Community becomes real when we can look into each other's eyes and feel the truth of the room.

Possibility expands when we are witnessed by others who are also doing the work.

The body receives what the mind alone cannot access online.

What We'll Be Doing

The Shape of the Practice

01

Edge Exploration

Dragons explore the edges they have been preparing for during the online training — relationally, emotionally, somatically, creatively, and spiritually.

02

Taboo + Shadow Work

Carefully held explorations of taboos, hidden material, protective strategies, and the shadow expressions that have been waiting for daylight.

03

Relational Practice

Practice with the people you have been building trust with online — deeper honesty, intimacy, feedback, play, rupture, repair, and shared discovery.

04

Emergent Group Field Work

Living practices where the intelligence of the field reveals collective, archetypal, interpersonal, and personal insights.

05

Embodiment + Integration

Space for movement, rest, reflection, nervous system regulation, integration, and grounded connection.

The Group Field

The Field Has Its Own Intelligence

When a prepared group gathers with enough trust, honesty, and willingness, something larger than the individual begins to emerge. Patterns become visible. Archetypes come alive. Collective material can be witnessed, moved, expressed, and healed.

This is one of the deepest invitations of the in-person retreat: to discover what becomes possible when we stop trying to transform alone.

The Weekend Experience

The Rhythm of the Four Days

Day One

Arrival + Landing

Participants arrive, meet the land, reconnect with the group, and begin settling into the shared field.

Day One

Opening the Container

We establish agreements, attunement, safety, play, shared language, and the deeper intentions for the weekend.

Days Two & Three

Deep Practice

Edge work, shadow work, taboo exploration, embodied exercises, group practices, relational processes, and emergent field work.

Throughout

Community + Integration

Meals, laughter, rest, reflection, nervous system care, informal connection, and integration time woven through the days.

Day Four

Completion + Return

We harvest insights, honor the journey, and prepare to bring the Dragon back into daily life.

The Invitation

This Is Where the Dragon Comes Alive

The online training prepares the language. The retreat gives it breath, body, eye contact, laughter, tears, risk, rest, and real relationship.

This is where the magic comes to life. This is where bonds become real. This is where a group of Dragons becomes a living field.
